Ann Clark
Former Superintendent of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools
Ann Blakeney Clark served as superintendent of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools after more than 25 years in the district as a teacher, principal, and senior administrator. She has led at every level of the school system and held key roles including principal supervisor, Chief Academic Officer, and Deputy Superintendent. Widely recognized for her leadership, Ann is a Broad Superintendent Fellow, National Principal of the Year, and recipient of the Thomas Jefferson Distinguished Alumnae Award from the University of Virginia. She holds degrees from Davidson College and the University of Virginia and serves on numerous education and community boards.
