Dr. Harold Border
Chief Strategy Officer at Orange County Public Schools
Dr. Harold Border is Chief Strategy Officer for Orange County Public Schools (OCPS), the nation’s eighth-largest district. He oversees the district’s assessment, accountability, research, stakeholder feedback and strategic improvement departments, aligning initiatives with the OCPS 2030 Strategic Plan. which is a bold plan built in collaboration with the Board, Industry Leaders, Staff, Students, and Families for the current opportunities in public education. A U.S. Navy veteran, Harold’s 29-year career in OCPS includes roles as Chief of High Schools, Area Superintendent, and principal, where he led schools to dramatic gains in student achievement and access to rigorous coursework. Recognized nationally for his leadership in school climate and student success, he holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida.
